ILAPS OPERATION: PHOENIX DECEPTION - FEB 27TH 2010

IWN News Flash:

A military transport rumoured to be carrying a prototype weapon sustained major damage forcing the crew to crash-land. Reports of material falling from the transport while avoiding fire have lead to a race to the area of the crash. The UNION are declining to comment on the nature of the transports cargo, but have mobilized the full extent of their local forces to respond. Increased radio chatter in the local surrounding areas seems to indicate that the RESISTANCE are advancing and massing their forces to claim any found technology. From the ashes, a new world is born...

More details to come...

DEC 19TH CUSTOMER APPRECIATION GAME POSTPONED PDF Print E-mail
Written by Stan
Thursday, 17 December 2009 11:05

We have received an overwhelming number of requests from the majority of ILAPS members to postpone the event which was scheduled for December 19th, due to scheduling conflicts arising from the holiday season, we will reschedule the “Customer Appreciation” game at Panther Paintball for the end of January.

As a bonus for postponing the game, Nelson Lau – President of MILSIG, will be returning to Vancouver with Ryan after their trip to the Shot Show in Las Vegas.  Nelson and the rest of the MILSIG men will host a 2010 Season Kick-Off in conjunction with MILSIG’s Customer Appreciation Day, unveiling, for the first time at an event, the MILSIG solid gear line-up!  We want you to check out the gear and give us some feedback and while you are there you will have the chance to walk away with a brand new complete MILSIG Solid Gear tactical vest.

To all of you loyal ILAPS players that set aside the 19th to attend, we apologize for the inconvenience of this date change.  We are doing our best to arrange a firm date for the 2010 Season Kick-Off and look forward to making it up to you with new swag for the 2010 season! We thank you for your continued support of ILAPS and we hope to make 2010 a special year for the ILAPS leaque.

Operation Ghost Horizon After Action Report (AAR)

Soldiers and Resistance Fighters awoke to the chilly cold of a late summer morning on August 23rd, 2009. The Union of Allied States gathered an impressive light Armored Platoon with supporting shock troops from Bad Company in preparation for the gathering of Resistance Fighters that awaiting them. Regrettably a Union Patrol APC had been disabled by a mine in the late night before the battle and its crew were captured by Resistance fighters. Mechanics from the resistance were able to make it to the APC minutes into the battle, repair the damaged treads and quickly claimed control of a valuable piece of war machinery giving them an even edge against the technologically superior Union. The fate of the APC Crew is unknown at this time.

The Unions Main Battle Tank manned by Bad Company shock troopers and the Resistance APC manned by the ferocious WarDogs engaged each other in the opening minutes of battle and lead to some of the most fierce firefights in a day, infantry units from the Union and a Special Operations Team (Team Arc Angels) from the Resistance engaged in a head on firefight around Camp Liberty which has been abandoned for the last ten years, but today it rang with the sound of fire. Within the first thirty minutes of the fight however the Resistance APC had been disabled and destroyed, its forces lay defeated around Camp Liberty Pushed back to a nearby Artillery Base and Forest for the rest of the morning the Resistance pushed against a superior force due to a reinforcement APC, the tides quickly turned when the Unions Main Battle Tank was taken out by Anti-Tank fire and the Resistance pushed back with a Tank of their own. The firefights were intense if sporadic and both sides moved with surgical precision.

After an intense battle, lunch time came upon both forces and they returned to their respective camps to Rearm, Refuel and Rehydrate and after a lull in the action they were back at it. Due to mechanical difficulties the crack squad of Bad Company was relegated to the role of infantry supporting the Wardogs in the defense of Camp Liberty. Both squads decided in the heat of battle to defect from the Union and not join the Resistance taking for themselves a little known about cache of high quality nuclear material in a classified and locked down bunker at Camp Liberty. Both sides learning of this valuable prize moved swiftly against the two squads which valiantly held out for almost an hour. On the resistance side Team Arcangels probed the defenses for weaknesses and performed several probing attacks with resistance fighters. On the Union side a concerted attack was planned almost an hour in to the siege of Camp Liberty, and massed infantry forces overtook and destroyed the defending Mercenaries.

Battles raged for the rest of the day over territory and each side fought Bravely, but in the end the Resistance forces  were routed and the Union Claimed victory over the field, with the Resistance swearing revenge, and soon!
