Exchange of Ideas on the Current State of Public Security in Colombia

The Latin American Institute for Peace and Security (ILAPS) held a roundtable and working breakfast to discuss the current state of public security in Colombia. The meeting featured the participation of Alexandra González, Chief of Staff of the Ministry of Defense, as well as representatives from embassies and the international community. The activity created a space for exchanging ideas on the main challenges facing the country in terms of security and served as the starting point for a series of meetings that ILAPS will carry out over the course of a year. The purpose of this cycle is to build an assessment of the current government and propose strategic recommendations for the next four-year term.
